Spark Neurodiversity Digital Hub
Spark Neurodiversity is exploring a new kind of online community space.
The Spark Neurodiversity Digital Hub is an early concept for a member-led digital community designed around connection, belonging, participation, and practical value for neurodivergent people.
Rather than building just another social platform, the aim is to create something shaped by the people it exists for. It should become a place where members can share, connect, contribute ideas, and help guide what the community becomes.
This project is still in the idea and interest stage, and we are currently gathering feedback from people who may want to be part of it.
The Digital Hub is a proposed online space within Spark Neurodiversity.
It is intended to be a place where members can:
- share stories and experiences
- make low-pressure social posts
- join groups and discussions
- connect around interests, identities, and life experiences
- contribute ideas and feedback
- participate in organisational guidance and community direction
The goal is to create something that is social, useful, welcoming, and shaped by members over time.
The Spark Neurodiversity Digital Hub may include features such as
Shouts
Quick, low-pressure posts for everyday things like:
- random facts
- small wins
- current hyperfocuses
- new purchases or deliveries
- “does anyone else do this?” moments
- funny or relatable observations
Not everything needs to be a deep post. Shouts would make it easier to share little moments without pressure.
Groups
Topic-based spaces around things like Autism, ADHD, AuDHD, sensory issues, diagnosis, work, study, relationships, burnout, hobbies, and local community.
Discussions
General conversation spaces for questions, support, ideas, and connection.
Guidance and Participation
Ways for members to help shape Spark Neurodiversity, provide input, take part in polls, and contribute to the direction of the community.
Events and Resources
Over time, the platform may also link members to events, peer spaces, resources, and practical opportunities connected to Spark Neurodiversity’s wider mission.
DISCLAIMER: The Spark Neurodiversity Digital Hub is currently a concept under exploration. Features, structure, access, and pricing may change as the project develops.
If we’re being honest, it’s because Spoony is closing. However in saying that for a long time we’ve thought a lot of neurodivergent people want more than a generic social media experience.
Many people are looking for spaces that feel:
- more welcoming
- more relevant
- more community-led
- less performative
- less endless-scroll
- more shaped around real needs and interests
We think there is room for a member-led digital community that focuses on belonging, voice, and practical value, not just content consumption.
The Spark Neurodiversity Digital Hub is being explored as something that could be:
Member-led
Members should have a real say in what the platform becomes.
Community-focused
The aim is to build connection and participation, not just another feed.
Organisation-linked
The Digital Hub would sit within a broader community project, rather than being a standalone app chasing growth for its own sake.
Useful as well as social
It should support not just social connection, but also ideas, feedback, events, resources, and practical opportunities.
Right now, this is an early concept.
We are exploring the idea, gathering interest, and listening to what people would want from a space like this before deciding what to build and how.
If the Spark Neurodiversity Digital Hub sounds like something you would like to be part of, we’d love to hear from you.
